Helen Michetschläger has been a professional violin maker for over 40 years, and is based in Manchester, UK.

She trained at the Newark School of Violin Making and then set up her own workshop making high quality new instruments, which are played by musicians in the USA, Scandinavia and Asia.

​

Violas are a particular interest, and she has worked with players to develop beautiful- sounding smaller violas which are comfortable and easy to play.

 

This has led to designing her own models for violin-sized violas for talented students and adult players, appreciated by musician on three continents.
