Andrea Fiorini
Andrea Fiorini, born on 01/08/1978 in Alatri (FR), enrolled in the violin making school in the year 2000, under the guidance of the master Marcello Di Sante Cellini and the teacher and founder of the Guerriero Sparaffi school.
After obtaining his diploma, he moved to different cities in Italy and Europe in the following years, doing apprenticeships in different ateliers. Naples is where he stayed for the longest time, taking inspiration from the Neapolitan style, and making it his own.
He currently works in Veroli (FR), a small town where he has his roots. He mainly deals with the construction of new instruments, especially violin, viola and violoncello, also doing restoration and setup.
He customises his instruments with varnish produced completely by hand, from the treatment of resins, to the production of pigment. He uses paper and beech purfling, as in the Neapolitan tradition, mainly developing models of instruments from the Gagliano family.
